California native, G-Eazy, made a stop at Broomfield's own, 1stBank Center Tuesday night as a part of his ‘The Beautiful and Damned Tour.’ Upon arrival, fans were met with upcoming rappers Phora and Trippie Redd. Both artists kept fans engaged and excited for headlining act, G-Eazy.
The show kicked off with a pitch-black venue, filled to the rafters with thousands of screaming fans waiting for the man, himself, to storm the stage. When G-Eazy finally arrived, he had the building shaking as fans lost their minds. G-Eazy rep'd his signature dark, punk-like persona with slicked-back hair, combined with his notorious all black attire. The background banged with a flash, when all of a sudden the words, “The Beautiful Damned” danced on the screen as Halsey’s beautifully, dark voice howled away.
During the beginning of his set, G-Eazy took time to show his love for Colorado and expressed even more love for his fans. Anyone could easily read his presence see just how excited he was to be back in Colorado. G-Eazy even considered Colorado his "second home", comparing his beloved Bay Area to Denver, which makes sense as he's has been appearing in the Mile-High City since 2009. But whether or not he says that at every show is anyones guess... We'll still take the compliment though!
WE LOVE YOU TOO, MR. EAZY.
The first set was charged with an enormous amount of energy while fans danced and screamed. G-Eazy proved why his concerts is a definite must-see of the season. Few breaks. Constantly moving. 100% Party.
Transitioning out of the first set, G-Eazy shed his notorious all-black attire,
returning to the stage in an all white outfit showing off a more sinister side for the second set. Act two was all about the hype, fans turnt the fuck up while he performed his charting hit songs like Order More and Calm Down. By this point, the show was kicked up a notch as the backdrop displaying dancing flames and flying bats, disappeared into a dense, fog filled the stage. G-Eazy took some time to show love towards his dedicated Colorado fans once more, . Towards the end of act two, “Young Gerald” (as he referred to himself,) took time to speak to his fans and deliver a strong message:
“When life gets you down, you can’t let it knocks you down. And if you do, get back up.”
Suddenly disappearing off stage, fans were left without a clue.
As quickly he disappeared, G-Eazy reappeared bringing his 3rd and final set: “The Epilogue.” This act began with G-Eazy shouting like a viking going to war “DJ, play that platinum shit!” At that moment, the party caught it's second wind, 360-ing, started all over again as if G-Eazy himself pulled back the hands of time to 9 o’clock and act 1. Mr. Eazy (with help from the crowd) turned sound up to max capacity and closed the night with some familiar
bangers like Him & I, Me, Myself & I, and ending with his latest single release, No Limit (feat A$AP Rocky & Cardi B).
Overall, this was a phenomenal show! The on-stage presence of G-Eazy, created a performance that had fans consistently hyped and left zero room for a dull moment.
